Job summary

Intersect seeks a SCADA Field Engineer to lead on-site commissioning of SCADA/automation at utility-scale projects. You will inspect hardware, validate reports, and ensure interfaces meet design specs. The role requires deep expertise in relay logic, network protocols, and field diagnostics, with frequent collaboration with EPCs.

You will travel to sites, document findings, and help refine standards while supporting a fast-growing, mission-driven energy team.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on field engineering in utility-scale facilities.
• Experience configuring SEL protective relays and SEL-RTACs.
• Strong packet analysis skills across DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850.
• Experience with Ignition Perspective and Jira for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SCADA and automation system commissioning through field inspections.
• Review EPC reports and pre-functional checklists for readiness.
• Provide on-site technical expertise on relay logic and substation networks.
• Perform Wireshark analysis to diagnose protocol-level issues in live systems.
• Coordinate with EPCs, contractors, and operators to align milestones.
• Document deviations and feed field learnings into design standards.
