Job summary

Intersect is seeking a SCADA Field Engineer to represent the centralized engineering team on utility-scale facilities. You will partner with EPCs, commissioning teams, and OEMs to ensure SCADA, protection, and automation meet specifications on site.

You will inspect installations, diagnose protocol issues with Wireshark, and coordinate cross- functional field activities. Travel up to 50% is required; a training period precedes full productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent field experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on field engineering at utility-scale facilities.
• Experience configuring and commissioning SEL protective relays and SEL-RTACs.
• Proficient in Wireshark and protocol analysis for industrial networks.
• Hands-on with Ignition Perspective HMIs and data visuals.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP and grid telemetry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SCADA and automation system commissioning on site.
• Coordinate with EPCs, commissioning teams, and OEMs to meet specs.
• Perform physical inspections of equipment and verify designs.
• Provide technical field support and rapid issue resolution.
• Document deviations and feed insights back to engineering standards.
