Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a SCADA Engineer II – Critical Infrastructure to support development, configuration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems for mission-critical infrastructure.

This remote-first role offers on-site learning exposure, with up to 75% travel domestically and occasional on-site participation in FAT/IST and commissioning events. 2–4 years of SCADA or control systems experience, strong communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience supporting or developing SCADA or control systems in industrial or infrastructure environments.
• Foundational understanding of SCADA concepts, control systems, and system integration.
• Exposure to alarm configuration, HMI graphics, system integration, FAT/IST/ commissioning, or field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support development and configuration of SCADA systems per project requirements and STC standards.
• Implement HMI graphics, alarms, data models, and system logic based on design intent.
• Assist in developing SCADA scripts, templates, and reusable components.
• Translate operation sequences into functional SCADA configurations; perform testing and validation.
• Support on-site activities during construction and commissioning; document observations and lessons learned.
