Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support Pre-construction and Operations, collaborating with Engineering, Estimating, and Procurement to review SCADA specs and quotes. You will assist in commissioning, performance testing, and coordinating with multiple vendors across solar, BESS, and HV sectors.

The role requires a BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 2–5 years’ SCADA experience, with knowledge of IEC61850/IEEE protocols and utility requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in engineering required.
• 2–5 years SCADA engineering experience; renewable energy preferred.
• Experience with IEC61850/IEEE protocols and utility comms knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review client SCADA specifications and SOW; solicit vendor proposals.
• Coordinate with Substation, BESS, and O&M vendors on SCADA requirements.
• Review SCADA drawings from 3rd party vendors and EORs.
• Assist commissioning and performance teams; visit project sites as required.
• Support troubleshooting for active and warranty sites.
