Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flows across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will design and maintain Ignition SCADA components, develop data visuals, and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with IT and operations teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years of experience in utility or energy settings, with a strong emphasis on Ignition and AVEA PI, plus scripting and data analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Familiarity with OT equipment and power plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System components (Gateways, screens, alarms, historian, integration).
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and configurations; ensure systems are up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment and controls systems.
• Maintain data connections between OPC servers, RTUs, and data historians.
• Coordinate with IT as primary liaison for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
