Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flow across gas, solar and wind assets, helping site managers maintain reliability.

Design and maintain Ignition SCADA systems, manage OT gateways and alarms, develop data views, and troubleshoot connections with RTUs, PI historians and other devices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years experience, expert Ignition and AVEA PI skills, and a proactive, cross-functional team player mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of experience; applicable years may substitute for degree.
• Expert level proficiency in Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiarity with OT Equipment: SCADA, RTU, PI historians, OPC, Modbus.
• Ignition certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Python scripting preferred.
• Knowledge of power plant components and renewable projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, including gateways, screens, alarms, historian, and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and point configurations; keep systems up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, RIGs, data loggers).
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center and data servers.
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure assets are compliant.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
