Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flows across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will collaborate with site managers and operations teams to maintain reliability of control and data systems.

This role requires expert Ignition and AVEA PI skills, experience with RTUs and historians, and the ability to coordinate with IT while ensuring NERC CIP compliance and contributing to AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years OT/SCADA experience.
• Expert Ignition and AVEA PI skills required.
• Experience with renewable and gas power systems.
• Familiar with OT equipment: SCADA, RTUs, PI historians, MODBUS, DNP, OPC.
• Ignition certification preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Python scripting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking.
• Self-starter with independent work style.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system, including gateways, screens, alarms, historian, and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, servers, and point configurations.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective.
• Troubleshoot OT connections among controls, RIGs, RTUs, data loggers.
• Maintain data connections between ROC, servers, and OEM SCADA/OPC.
• Coordinate with IT as primary liaison for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and AI initiatives.
