Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flow across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will design and maintain Ignition SCADA systems, manage OT SCADA servers, and develop data displays for advanced analytics.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years of experience, expert Ignition and AVEA PI skills, and knowledge of renewable and gas power systems. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 years of experience; degree substitution allowed.
• Expert level in Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiarity with OT equipment: SCADA, RTUs, PI historian, DNP, OPC, Modbus.
• Ignition certification preferred; proficient in MS Office; Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, including gateways, screens, alarms, historian, and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment; keep servers and configurations up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, RIGs, data loggers).
• Maintain data connections between OT centers, data servers, and OEM SCADA, RTU, OPC Servers.
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance and support for asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
