Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, commission, and maintain production automation systems at Arsenal-1 in Columbus, OH. You will own the SCADA layer, integrate FactoryOS software, and write Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.

You will also lead root-cause analyses, tune servo drives, and work closely with production teams on the shop floor to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 2+ years of controls and automation experience in production.
• Proficient in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder & Structured Text).
• Proficient with servo drives and VFD configuration and PID tuning.
• Strong knowledge of ProfiNET/ProfiSAFE/Ethernet IP protocols.
• Experience developing SCADA applications in Ignition (Perspective, tag architecture, historian).
• Experience with risk assessments and safety design.
• Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for production equipment.
• Write and debug Siemens PLC code with emphasis on maintainable, reusable code.
• Follow internal standards for control architectures, compliance, and safety buyoffs.
• Integrate FactoryOS software into automation equipment and lines.
• Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition (Perspective, tag architecture, historian).
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives/VFDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on production-floor issues and improvements.
