Anduril Industries in Columbus, OH is seeking a SCADA Controls Engineer to own the automation layer for high-rate production at Arsenal-1. The role covers PLC integration, Ignition applications, and plant-floor visibility.

The position requires a BS in an engineering discipline, 2+ years in controls, Siemens PLC programming, and Ignition experience. U.S. Government SECRET clearance is required for access to export-controlled information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
2+ years of controls and automation experience in a production environment.
Proficient in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS.
Strong knowledge of ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, Ethernet IP.
Proficient with electrical component selection and wire sizing, circuit protection, and heat management in control cabinets.
Experience developing SCADA applications in Ignition (Perspective, tag architecture, historian).
Experience with Risk Assessments and Controls Safety Design.
Proficient with pneumatic concepts and design.
Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
Active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for production equipment.
Write and debug Siemens PLC code with organized, structured, and reusable code for high-volume manufacturing.
Follow internal standards for control systems architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs.
Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition, including tag architecture, Perspective screens, alarming, and historian configuration.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term reliability.
Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
