Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Controls Engineer for our Automation team at Arsenal-1 in Columbus, OH, to design, commission, and upgrade production control systems for high-rate manufacturing.

You will write Siemens PLC code, tune servo drives and VFDs, follow internal standards for safety and documentation, and collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics, computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 2+ years of controls and automation experience in production.
• Proficient in Siemens PLC programming and motion control.
• Experience with SCADA and OT networking, safety design, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for production equipment.
• Write and debug Siemens PLC code with maintainability in mind.
• Follow internal standards for control architectures, safety buyoffs, and regulatory compliance.
• Integrate FactoryOS/SCADA software with automation equipment.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Work on the production floor with manufacturing stakeholders.
