Job summary

Anduril Industries in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Staff Controls Engineer to design, commission, and upgrade control systems on production equipment at Arsenal-1. You will lead Siemens PLC programming and tune servo drives, integrating with SCADA to enable reliable, scalable manufacturing.

Responsibilities include enforcing standards, performing risk assessments, and mentoring junior engineers while driving continuous improvement in a high-rate facility. Must have a SECRET clearance and be a U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of controls/automation in production environments.
Expert Siemens PLC programming in Ladder and Structured Text.
Proficient with servo drives, VFDs,ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, Ethernet IP.
Experience with SCADA integration and OT networking.
Proficient with electrical component selection and wire sizing.
Knowledge of NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
Active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for production equipment.
Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code with emphasis on maintainability.
Enforce internal standards for control architectures, safety buyoffs, and compliance.
Integrate FactoryOS software into automation equipment and lines.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and set controls standards.
