Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to own the controls architecture on the manufacturing floor, from PLC/HMI development through commissioning and sustainment of OT/IT automation that keeps production running.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, apply strong PLC programming on Allen‑Bradley and Siemens, and implement Ignition SCADA, MES/QMS integration, and OT cybersecurity practices. US citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of controls and automation experience in a production environment.
• Strong PLC programming skills on Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
• Proficiency in Ignition SCADA development, including gateway modules (Tag Historian, Alarm Notification, SQL, OPC UA, MQTT Engine/Distributor/Transmission).
• Proficiency across the OT stack — MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, industrial Ethernet, VLANs, switching, and routing.
• Working knowledge of OT cybersecurity, including air‑gapped networks, network segmentation, server hardening, and secure remote access.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required pursuant to contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Own controls architecture on the manufacturing floor from PLC/HMI development to commissioning and sustainment.
• Build and harden OT/IT automation infrastructure to keep production running.
• Represent work in cross‑functional design reviews and cybersecurity buy‑offs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and production stakeholders on the shop floor.
