Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for the Rocket Motor Systems team in McHenry, MS to design, certify, and optimize automated production equipment. You will own the SCADA layer, integrate Siemens PLCs, and develop Ignition-based solutions, contributing to high‑volume manufacturing reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years in controls and automation in production environments.
• Expert Siemens PLC programming (Ladder & Structured Text).
• Servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of ProfiNET/ProfiSAFE/Ethernet IP protocols.
• Electrical component selection and cabinet design basics.
• Experience developing Ignition Perspective and historian SCADA.
• Experience with Risk Assessments and Safety Design.

Responsibilities

• Design and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
• Develop and maintain Siemens PLC code that is structured, documented, and reusable.
• Build and integrate Ignition SCADA applications and historian configuration.
• Lead root cause analysis for automation issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
