Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer to expand our Dallas-area Automation services. You will work on SCADA programming, control system design, and OT networks, contributing to project bids, budgets, and site start-ups.

Responsibilities include developing solutions under senior guidance, configuring SCADA systems, and preparing design reports, with travel as needed to project sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of related experience.
• EIT certification or FE exam within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation project solutions with senior oversight.
• Program, test, and commission SCADA systems using listed software.
• Configure SCADA servers, OT networks and wireless systems.
• Prepare P&IDs, control system architectures, specs and descriptions.
• Prepare automation budgets and cost estimates.
