Job summary

RED Group in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer with deep experience in PLC/SCADA/DCS programming and industrial robotics to design, implement, and optimize control systems for ICS/OT environments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 7+ years of hands-on design and startup experience, with travel to client sites as needed. This hybrid position offers in-office collaboration and on-site engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or commensurate experience.
7+ years of control systems design and programming experience, focusing on PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Industrial Robotics preferred.
Experience with multiple PLC environments and HMI software as listed.

Responsibilities

Program and configure PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA systems.
Program and configure industrial robotics (Material Handling, Integrated Vision Systems).
Design, configuration, integration, and implementation of automated equipment.
Develop software/hardware design specifications.
Design, write, test and document PLC/HMI software.
Create Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Network Diagrams.
Develop and execute control system validation/testing protocols.
Troubleshoot, test, and start-up control systems onsite.
Participate in site visits and meetings as required by project.
Consult with clients to ensure project success.
Interact with project managers/team leads, clients, and other third parties.
