ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. in Fenton, MI is seeking an SBA Loan Officer to manage end-to-end SBA loan origination, underwriting, closing, and servicing in accordance with SBA guidelines and bank policies.

You will originate and process SBA 7(a) and 504 loan applications, assess borrower eligibility, coordinate with internal teams and SBA representatives, and support small business clients through funding and servicing while leading or mentoring junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience with government loan programs.
• One to three years’ experience underwriting and managing commercial loans.
• Extensive knowledge of Government Guaranty programs, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational and sales skills.

Responsabilités

• Originates and processes SBA 7(a) and 504 loan applications.
• Assesses borrower SBA eligibility.
• Provides guidance to small business clients through the loan process.
• Prepares and submits complete loan packages to SBA for approval.
• Coordinates with internal departments, vendors, and SBA representatives to ensure closings.
• Maintains knowledge of SBA regulations and changes.
• Monitors loan performance and assists with servicing and portfolio management.
