Job summary

Mountain West Bank in Coeur d'Alene, ID seeks an experienced SBA Loan Assistant to support our SBA team. You will prepare, assemble, and verify SBA loan documents, liaise with borrowers, and assist relationship management to ensure timely processing.

The role requires at least three years of clerical banking experience, strong written and verbal communication, and meticulous attention to detail. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of clerical experience in banking or SBA environment.
• Fundamental understanding of banking, accounting or related field.
• Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication to maintain quality customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Submit appraisal bid requests to approved appraisers and engage as needed.
• Order and review loan documents for vesting, legal descriptions, dates and signatures; prepare checklists.
• Prepare all required SBA loan documents per SBA policies.
• File lien perfection documents and ensure timely recording.
• Verify loan files comply with bank and SBA policies and track disbursement documentation.
• Scan loan files to core system per procedures.
• Submit loan information to SBA for processing when required.
• Disburse loan proceeds according to procedures.
• Track file status, rate changes, insurance, and renewals; liaise with other departments.
• Maintain tickler system and assist with covenants and annual tax returns/financials as needed.
• Assist customers and branch personnel with SBA loan questions.
