Job summary

Unity Bank in New Jersey is seeking an SBA Business Development Executive to develop contacts, generate leads and sell SBA loan products to existing and new customers. You will screen and evaluate loan requests, package documentation, and draft initial loan proposals for submission to the credit department while promoting Unity's presence in the community.

You will travel locally within NJ and PA, cross-sell bank products, monitor loan portfolio activity, and build centers of influence through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 3+ years of commercial lending experience.
• 2+ years of SBA lending experience.
• Formal bank credit training preferred.
• NAGGL and/or NADCO SBA training preferred.
• Working knowledge of SBA SOP

Responsibilities

• Solicit SBA loan requests from customers and intermediaries.
• Interview loan applicants; analyze financial data for creditworthiness.
• Establish SBA eligibility and negotiate loan terms.
• Package and submit loan documentation.
• Prepare and submit draft loan proposals.
• Cross-sell Unity Bank products and monitor portfolio activity.
• Travel locally within NJ and PA as necessary to attend meetings and events.
• Assist credit and closing departments to facilitate timely closings.
