Job summary

Fifth Third Corporation is seeking an SBA Lending Consultant to drive growth of the SBA loan portfolio. You will educate clients and internal partners on SBA programs, structure loans to meet guidelines, and present lending solutions to prospects with compliance at the core.

Collaborating with Regional Directors of Practice Finance and Relationship Managers, you will support underwriting, provide product expertise, and help close loans while maintaining rigorous documentation and pipeline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years SBA lending experience with origination and servicing.
• In-depth knowledge of SBA programs and SOPs.
• Ability to structure and present SBA loan deals.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify SBA-eligible lending opportunities.
• Structure SBA loan proposals in accordance with program requirements.
• Educate internal partners on SBA program nuances.
• Educate front-line staff on SBA guidelines and eligibility.
• Maintain pipeline reporting and assist with SBA submissions and closings.
