Job summary

LiftFund Chicago seeks a Loan Closing Officer to prepare accurate closing documentation for loan and grant awards, ensuring compliance with LiftFund, SBA, and funding partners. You will manage CRM data, review title, UCC filings, and coordinate with title companies and attorneys to finalize closings.

This full-time, on-site role requires attention to detail, organizing multiple deadlines, and delivering superior service to internal teams and clients throughout the closing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience with title liens and UCC filings.
• Minimum two years of experience ordering and reviewing real estate title searches.
• Experience reviewing financial, legal, or compliance documentation in a lending or grant environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Input and maintain accurate information in the CRM system.
• Audit loan and grant applications to prepare compliant closing packages.
• Prepare and assemble closing packages; facilitate electronic signatures.
• Review closing documents for completeness and compliance.
• File and manage collateral liens, including UCC filings.
• Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and vendors.
• Process insurance claims and manage releases of debt and collateral.
• Prepare real estate closing instruments and settlement statements.
• Assist in SBA 7(a) closing documentation and onboarding files.
• Ensure compliance with funding programs and track post-closing requirements.
• Interpret program guidelines to ensure accurate closings.
• Provide customer service to internal teams and clients.
• Monitor compliance with applicable policies.
