Job summary

Colorado Enterprise Fund seeks a Pre-Underwriting and Closing Specialist to support loan lifecycle from application through closing. You will review documents, resolve gaps, and coordinate with borrowers and teams to ensure accurate, timely closings.

Hybrid Colorado-based role requiring strong communication skills, CRM experience, and knowledge of SBA 7a processes. Travel to Denver HQ once weekly for on-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial banking, banking, credit union, or community bank.
• Spanish fluency, spoken and written, required.
• Associate degree in business, finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral, closing requirements, financial statements, and SBA 7a experience.
• Experience with CRM systems or loan documentation/management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance with RDL guidelines.
• Identify documentation gaps and coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, and third parties to resolve them.
• Prepare and organize loan files for submission, ensuring disclosures and verifications are present.
• Verify information using Secretary of State records and public data.
• Escalate compliance concerns to the Director of Loan Administration.
• Track loan file status across the pipeline and maintain CRM records.
• Provide regular status updates and reporting on file progress.
• Prepare and review closing packages for various loan types and guide borrowers through closing.
• Ensure all conditions met before closing and perform post-closing follow-up.
• Collaborate with Credit, Lending, and other departments for smooth handoffs.
