Job summary

Truliant Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced SBA Business Development Officer to expand SBA 7(a) lending and build trusted referral partnerships. You will guide borrowers from initial opportunity through closing, coordinating with credit, underwriting, and closing teams to move deals to funded status.

The role emphasizes relationship development with external partners, structured transactions, and clear communication across the SBA loan lifecycle while maintaining compliance and efficient

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of SBA lending experience.
• Annual SBA 7(a) production of $15 million or greater.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand a network of business brokers, CPAs, attorneys, commercial real estate brokers, franchise consultants, bankers, and other professional partners who generate SBA 7(a) opportunities.
• Screen opportunities for SBA eligibility, structure transactions, and prepare a BDO workbook with high-level cash flow analysis, a clear transaction narrative, and key risk considerations.
• Partner with SBA credit, underwriting, loan coordination, closing, and portfolio management teams to move qualified opportunities from early review through closing and ongoing borrower communication.
