Great South Timber & Lumber is seeking a skilled Sawmill Maintenance/Millwright to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment used in sawmill operations to ensure safe, efficient production and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct inspections. Prior sawmill, manufacturing, or millwright experience is preferred, with a commitment to workplace safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs.

Great South Timber & Lumber is seeking a skilled and dependable Sawmill Maintenance/Millwright to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment used in our sawmill operations to ensure safe and efficient production. Candidates should have experience working with industrial machinery, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, bearings, and other mechanical equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to diagnose mechanical issues, and a commitment to workplace safety. Preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and emergency repairs will be essential parts of this role. Experience in industrial maintenance is required, and previous sawmill, manufacturing, or millwright experience is preferred.
