Job summary
The Lumber Manufactory in New Albany, MS is seeking a skilled Millwright to support maintenance and mechanical operations at our facility. This full-time, hourly position involves installing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery to minimize downtime and uphold safety and quality standards.
You will work with the Mill Manager, Maintenance Lead, and engineering teams to ensure reliable operation across pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and power transmission systems, with a focus on safety
Qualifications
- 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Welding in all positions.
- Able to pass a cutting and welding test.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays as required.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute equipment repairs by reading blueprints and diagrams.
- Maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, bearings, and hydraulics.
- Undertake preventative maintenance program for equipment.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices during assembly, installation and repair.
- Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders.
- Verify and document repairs made.
