Job summary

Sur La Table Canton, CT seeks a Chef Instructor, Savory to lead in-store culinary experiences that educate customers and drive class enrollments and cookware sales. You will teach savory techniques, present recipes, and maintain high product knowledge while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires 12–16 hours weekly with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. A culinary arts degree is preferred; hands-on experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A culinary arts degree is preferred; extensive culinary experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences.
• Deliver in-store savory cooking classes that reflect the brand and drive enrollment and sales.
• Communicate culinary concepts clearly and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Assist with class setup, mise en place, and breakdown; keep stations clean and stocked.
• Ensure food safety and comply with health codes and SOPs.
