Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Annapolis is seeking an experienced side/sauté cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare potatoes, vegetables, and hot appetizers to our exacting standards, while ensuring timely service and superior guest experiences.

The role requires strict adherence to recipes, sanitation, and safety procedures in a high-volume setting. As part of the back-of-house team, you will set up the side station, assist other cooks, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a side or sauté cook in a full service, fine dining upscale, tablecloth or casual dining restaurant.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and listen to supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Cook all potatoes, vegetables and hot appetizer items to Ruth’s Chris standards.
• Set up side station with items, equipment, and supplies for service.
• Prep and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
• Coordinate with broiler cook to ensure timing for service.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area throughout shift.
• Complete station closing duties and report any issues to Chef.
