Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Maryland is seeking a pantry/salad cook to portion, prepare and assemble cold items, salads, cold appetizers and desserts for service. You will follow recipes, ensure proper timing, and maintain plate presentation in line with Ruth’s Chris standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of pantry or salad cook experience in fine dining, can handle heavy service periods, and communicates effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Pantry or salad cook experience in fine dining required.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Ability to handle 100 covers per shift.
• Strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pantry station with all cold items, garnishes and supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff and prep food per Ruth’s Chris recipes.
• Cook to company specifications ensuring timing and quality.
• Monitor par levels and restock; coordinate with food runners.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the shift.
• Complete station closing duties and report issues to Chef.
