Job summary

The Salvation Army in Alaska seeks a SATS Coordinator to oversee on-site counselors, manage caseloads, train staff, and ensure contract compliance with the Alaska Department of Corrections. You will develop treatment plans, monitor curricula, and prepare required reports in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have Alaska CDCI/C CDCII certification or equivalent, plus 3+ years of direct clinical experience in substance use treatment and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Alaska CDCI certificate required; ability to obtain CDCII within 1 year.
• Direct clinical experience in chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders (3+ years).
• Supervisory/administrative experience and ability to train staff.
• Knowledge of Alaska certification requirements for CDCII/CDCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain caseload and supervise on-site counselors under SATS contract.
• Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and ensure program compliance.
• Prepare reports and quality improvement documentation.
• Coordinate treatment activities and monitor curriculum delivery.
• Serve as liaison with ADOC institutional staff.
