Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a SATS Counselor for the Clitheroe Center/ADOC SATS Program in Alaska. You will maintain caseloads, conduct SBIRT/ASAM assessments, and assist with treatment planning under the SATS Coordinator.

Qualifications include Alaska Counselor Technician certification or equivalent, knowledge of addictions treatment, and ability to obtain CDCI within a year. Background checks and PREA screening are required.

Qualifications

• Alaska State Counselor Technician certification required or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable of Substance Related and Addictive Disorders and its treatment.
• Experience meeting Alaska certification requirements (CDCI/CDII) preferred.
• Able to obtain Alaska CDCI within one year from hire.
• Must be able to pass ADOC background check and PREA screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct SBIRT and ASAM assessments for clients.
• Develop treatment plans and reentry planning.
• Facilitate groups on chemical dependency and related issues.
• Ensure timely documentation compliant with contract requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
