Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Integration & Test Engineer (STARSHIELD) to own the satellite integration and test flow. You will work across design, manufacturing, and flight operations to ensure mission success, requiring hands-on involvement and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes exposure to propulsion, thermal, electrical and structural systems, with opportunities to contribute to test plans, procedures, and go/no-go judgments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of design or hands-on manufacturing experience (internships or projects count).
• Willing to obtain Top Secret clearance; background may be reviewed.

Responsibilities

• Manage integration build flow and test operations.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and integration.
• Interface with engineers and technicians to optimize manufacturing and automation.
• Develop and refine manufacturing assembly procedures from lessons learned.
• Enable day-to-day execution of vehicle integration and test flow.
• Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and improvements.
