Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Integration & Test Engineer (Starlink) to design, integrate, and optimize test infrastructure for satellite and vehicle hardware. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, and flight operations to ensure robust testing and tooling for complex space systems.

A bachelor's in engineering is required with 1+ years in design or hands-on manufacturing; familiarity with MATLAB, Python, CAD tools, and propulsion/thermal/electrical testing is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ year of design/manufacturing experience.
• Master's degree in engineering.
• MATLAB or Python experience.
• Experience with propulsion/thermo/electrical/structural testing.
• Experience integrating avionics systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Experience writing test plans and go/no-go judgments.
• Production environment experience.
• Documentation and configuration management.
• Engineering intuition and comfort with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical infrastructure of test integration and operations
• Mechanical design of infrastructure and tooling for test integration and operations
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and integration
• Interface with engineers, specialists, and technicians to optimize testing operations
• New vehicle integration into new and existing infrastructure
• Enable day‑to‑day execution of vehicle integration and test flow to serve our customers
• Evaluate non‑conformances to determine root cause and improvements
