Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a senior production supervisor to lead the B shift Jemison Production Team in manufacturing a new satellite. You will plan resources, hire talent, and ensure production meets engineering specs while driving quality and cost improvements.

The role requires prior aerospace manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and collaboration across engineering and operations. On-site shift runs Mon–Thu evenings, with focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a supervision role on aerospace development programs or complex manufacturing.
• Experience with discreet production and processing through the manufacturing flow.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and test procedures.
• Strong work ethic with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic team.
• Proficient with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide dotted line leadership to the B shift production team, including planning, interviews, and hiring recommendations.
• Interface with site leadership to prioritize work against production schedule.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specs.
• Develop and implement cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
• Implement and refine new manufacturing processes.
• Document and standardize production processes with engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop production-ready manufacturing approaches.
• Review work instructions and propose changes as needed.
• Ensure ongoing training and skills development across the team.
• Set up new production areas, layouts, tooling, and equipment.
• Assist with transition from development to production.
• Forecast constraints and develop recovery plans for engine delivery schedule.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
