Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate teams responsible for on-vehicle welding and fabrication. This role oversees safety, quality, and production priorities on the B shift (3:30 PM–2:00 AM), guiding technicians and coordinating cross-functional staff to deliver fluid components for GS1 and GS2 launch vehicles.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field.
• Experience as a front line leader, working directly with individual contributors in various roles.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel within the Manufacturing Operations group related to on-vehicle, manual, mechanized, orbital tube welding and tube bending fabrication.
• Guide teammates and ensure that each person has everything vital to safely succeed.
• Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain phenomenal people.
• Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth.
• Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations.
• Develop and implement process, efficiency, and continuous safety improvements.
• Prioritize and establish work center assignments, training, overtime, and backups.
• Maintain all shop programs including Safety, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, FOD, Clean as you go programs.
