Job summary

AST SpaceMobile in Midland, TX, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical assembly of satellite systems for the LEO constellation. You'll supervise production operations, drive quality, throughput, and continuous improvement while building a capable assembly workforce.

This role covers the 2nd shift, 5:30 pm–4 am, Monday–Thursday, and requires strong leadership, communication, and adherence to 6S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, scientific, or related technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience supervising production teams of 10+ direct employees.
• Experience in supervising manufacturing or assembly operations preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise satellite mechanical and electrical assembly operations per work instructions and specs.
• Coordinate shifts to ensure on-time, within-cost production meeting quality targets.
• Maintain 6S, housekeeping, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Train, audit processes, and develop skills to meet certification requirements.
• Motivate and coach employees to drive performance and teamwork.
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Support safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency metrics across the department.
• Work with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other teams to resolve issues.
