Job summary

Teleport Engineering and Operations Engineers are responsible for the installation, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of earth station telecommunications and associated equipment per specifications and operational procedures, RF, IF, and baseband technologies.

Candidates will perform testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, follow SOPs, monitor networks and vendor activity, coordinate turn‑ups with partners, and support remote operations to maintain service levels across missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of work experience.
• Three or more years of experience in Satellite Network Communications.
• Three or more years of experience in IP Technologies.
• A valid Driver's License.
• Willing to work assigned shifts 24x7 365, scheduled and rotational coverage including last-minute flexibility coverage as well as on-call rotations as needs of the business are presented.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment per published standards with support.
• Follow all SOPs to ensure effective results on all workflows.
• Monitor vendor activities and remote monitoring of other teleports when necessary.
• Monitor the network for anomalies and handle issues per established procedures for escalations.
• Maintain service levels and take appropriate action to ensure uptime.
• Support assembly, installation, configuration, and testing of satellite and network equipment and wiring.
• Coordinate testing and turn-up of service with all involved parties.
• Work with government, international, and domestic customers to maintain service levels.
• Perform site operation with minimal supervision during shifts.
• Initiate emergency restoration procedures following equipment failures.
• Monitor earth station and terrestrial systems for proper operation.
• Establish good relationships with internal/external departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
