Job summary

SES Space & Defense is seeking a Global NOSC Technician to monitor and maintain satellite communications networks on-site in Stafford, VA in a 24/7/365 environment. You will troubleshoot, activate services, and assist customers with connectivity issues, ensuring high availability and rapid problem resolution.

The role requires hands-on networking proficiency, experience with satellite and ground-based equipment, and strong communication to provide timely updates to customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of technical experience in networking, IT, or satellite telecommunications.
• Experience with satellite communications equipment and RF systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot remotely and in real time.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7/365 shift.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to troubleshoot and restore remote access problems; maintain reliable satellite communications and resolve transmission issues.
• Help end users access satellite communications services.
• Isolate issues and restore service to customer networks.
• Achieve a high rate of problem resolution and trouble closure on initial contact.
• Provide network support and escalate to the Senior Technician when needed.
• Provide real-time status on MEO and GEO networks and traffic.
