Job summary

Capitol Broadcasting Company’s Microspace division seeks a Network Operations Technician Level I to monitor and support satellite and enterprise networks. You will handle tickets, logs, and incident reports while assisting customers with satellite, LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and low‑voltage infrastructure issues.

The role combines hands-on hardware, software troubleshooting and daily operations. The position requires flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with on-site responsibilities in

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical or customer-facing role.
• Ability to learn hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
• Good problem-solving under pressure with intuitive troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical docs.
• Basic troubleshooting for RF, network, A/V, and hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily network operations and ensure reliability of information systems.
• Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and address abnormalities.
• Open, update, and document tickets, logs, status, and incident reports.
• Communicate with customers via phone or email about issues and provide support for satellite, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and low-voltage infra.
• Report facility issues and monitor weather conditions per inclement weather policies.
• Perform maintenance tasks like patching software and deploying hardware/software enhancements.
• Diagnose and resolve satellite and network problems with security tools and best practices.
• Create and maintain configuration docs and training materials.
• Pursue professional development and applicable certifications.
