Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Mechanical Development Test Engineer for Satellites (Starlink). You will design, build, and operate test stands and instrumentation to validate hardware across high-pressure, hydraulic, thermal, and structural systems.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 1+ year of mechanical design or test experience; familiarity with NX and FEA is preferred. Travel up to 25% may be required, and you’ll contribute to mission-critical deadlines with hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Experience with mechanical design and testing preferred.
• Familiarity with NX and finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create test stand concepts, fabrication drawings, wiring schematics, and instrumentation lists.
• Design and analyze structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms.
• Supervise the integration of test stands including fabrication, mechanical assembly and data/control systems.
• Operate test stands with high attention to detail for mission-critical tests.
• Develop test requirements with flight engineering and drive campaigns to closure.
