Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a New Graduate Engineer, Mechanical - ’26/’27 for Starlink. The role is grounded in mechanical design for space-grade hardware, with ownership from ideation through production and on-orbit operation.

You’ll partner across teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions for a large satellite constellation. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering, CAD/FEA proficiency, and 1+ years in design/analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or STEM field.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 1+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, or testing.
  • Graduating in the class of 2026 or 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and on-orbit operation.
  • Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
  • Iterate designs and analyses to inform trades and guide product direction.
  • Drive DFM and reduce part count with robust fabrication and integration.
  • Coordinate with partner teams to enable in-house production and testing.
