Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions within utility transformation programs. You will own the Billing workstream, define the functional approach, translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable SAP IS-U solutions, and guide teams through design, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically, 4–6 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing.
• Experience owning SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing solution design and delivery through implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and integration with EDM.
• Experience integrating Billing with related SAP IS-U capabilities (Device Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, meter-to-cash, bill print).
• Experience leading requirements gathering, design governance, testing, and cutover activities.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Define target functional design for Billing and Invoicing including tariffs, billing schemas, and high-volume processing.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, workshops, and design governance.
• Drive end-to-end integration across Billing and SAP IS-U capabilities (Device Management, EDM, FI-CA, etc.).
• Lead complex billing scenarios including time-of-use, interval billing, and rebilling.
• Develop functional specs, documentation, configuration standards, and design decisions.
• Coach functional team members and manage cross-workstream issues.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, cycles, and invoicing.
• Manage scope, estimates, risks, and stakeholder decisions; communicate impacts clearly.
• Lead cutover planning and billing-cycle transition activities; ensure readiness.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide guidance on SAP IS-U Billing capabilities.
