Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant for a remote, 6+ month W2 contract with travel in the USA. The role leads end-to-end US payroll configuration, tax setup including BSI, and third-party integrations (UKG/Kronos, SuccessFactors) while delivering testing, documentation, and governance.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP HCM US Payroll experience, PCRs/schemas design, and ability to mentor junior consultants.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP HCM US Payroll (production support).
• Strong expertise in PCRs and Schemas (design + complex troubleshooting).
• Proven experience with US tax configuration and resolving US tax‑related payroll issues in SAP HCM Payroll. Hands‑on experience with BSI (configuration/support and update cycles).
• Experience integrating SAP HCM with UKG/Kronos and/or SuccessFactors (interfaces and operational support).
• Strong client‑facing communication, documentation discipline, and ability to lead workstreams independently.
• This role will lead requirements‑to‑solution delivery, drive payroll stability, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing cycles (unit/SIT/UAT), payroll parallel testing support, reconciliation, and cutover planning/execution.
• Produce and review functional specs, configuration/workbook documentation, and support runbooks; ensure audit-ready traceability.
• Partner with HR/Payroll, Time, Finance, and technical teams (ABAP/integration) to drive solutions and resolve cross‑functional defects.

Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant. Position Type: W2 Contract Duration: 6+ Months Location: Remote + Travel in USA As an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant, you will:

• Lead end-to-end SAP HCM US Payroll configuration, enhancements, and operational support (incident/problem/change). Design, build, and troubleshoot Payroll Schemas and PCRs (wage type processing, retro, rule logic, validations, error handling, payroll log analysis).
• Own US tax configuration and troubleshooting within SAP HCM Payroll, including ongoing tax updates and tax-related production issues. Configure and maintain BSI settings and support BSI-related activities (updates, validation, impact analysis, issue resolution).
• Deliver standard US payroll configuration including: Union contracts (rules, pay elements, deductions/benefits impacts) Wage types (valuation, processing classes, cumulations, deductions) Personnel areas/subareas and payroll areas (org-to-payroll mapping impacts) Garnishments (setup, processing, compliance-related troubleshooting) Support and troubleshoot third‑party integrations with UKG/Kronos/SuccessFactors (inbound/outbound interfaces, mapping, reconciliations, monitoring and error handling).

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead testing cycles (unit/SIT/UAT), payroll parallel testing support, reconciliation, and cutover planning/execution. Partner with HR/Payroll, Time, Finance, and technical teams (ABAP/integration) to drive solutions and resolve cross‑functional defects.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to delivery governance, estimates, and work planning.
• Lead end-to-end SAP HCM US Payroll configuration, enhancements, and operational support (incident/problem/change). Design, build, and troubleshoot Payroll Schemas and PCRs (wage type processing, retro, rule logic, validations, error handling, payroll log analysis).

The ideal candidate will have: Strong experience in SAP HCM Payroll with strong hands‑on experience in US Payroll configuration and workflow in SAP HCM , PCRs/schemas, US tax (including BSI) setup and issue resolution, and third‑party integrations (e.g., UKG/Kronos, SuccessFactors).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Nice to Have SAP Time Management knowledge and time‑to‑payroll integration experience.
• Experience with integration platforms (SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI) and interface monitoring tools.
• Payroll compliance/reconciliation experience in high‑volume or multi‑state payroll environments.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: Between $65.00 - $70.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
