Job summary

Addison Group in Cypress, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our clients' accounting team. This role handles full-cycle AP, processes invoices, reconciles vendor accounts, and ensures timely payments. SAP experience is required.

You will manage high invoice volumes, maintain accurate records, and support month-end close. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts payable experience required.
• SAP experience required.
• Experience processing high volumes of invoices preferred.
• Knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, matching, reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Match invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents as applicable
• Verify invoice details and resolve discrepancies before processing payments
• Ensure invoices are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Utilize SAP to process invoices, maintain vendor information, and manage accounts payable transactions
• Enter and update invoice data within the ERP system
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and system-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and vendor transactions
• Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows and system efficiency
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances
• Research duplicate invoices, missing payments, and account discrepancies
• Assist with payment runs and ensure invoices are paid according to established terms
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and payment inquiries
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues and prevent payment delays
• Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payment documentation
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals as needed
• Prepare reports related to invoice processing, outstanding payables, and payment status
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Support the accounting team with additional duties and special projects as assigned
