Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for sanitation operations at a Kansas facility. The role supports the Site Manager in supervising the sanitation crew, driving safety, and maintaining high cleanliness standards in a food-processing environment.

You will coordinate daily with the Site Manager and corporate offices, participate in safety programs, and help ensure timely and compliant sanitation operations. A strong communicator fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sanitation crew daily under Site Manager.
• Report safety incidents, downtime, and equipment issues to Site Manager.
• Coordinate with Corporate on logs, payroll, orders, and timesheets.
• Conduct weekly internal safety audits for staff and equipment.
• Set goals for the sanitation crew to ensure safe, clean, and on-time work.
• Hire, train, coach, and manage direct reporting staff; address grievances.
