Job summary

Fortrex in Alabama is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to support the Site Manager in daily supervision of the sanitation crew and to drive cleanliness and safety across the facility. You will help manage operations, document issues, and coordinate with plant leadership and corporate for logs, orders, and safety initiatives.

The role requires 18+, 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures with PPE.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience.
General working knowledge of computers and technology.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures with PPE.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and assist with improvement plans.
Communicate daily with the Site Manager about accidents, downtime, and plant issues.
Coordinate with Corporate on logs, payroll, chemical and supply orders, timesheets, etc.
Complete weekly internal safety audits on staff and equipment.
Set, monitor, and track goals for the sanitation crew to ensure safe, clean, and on-time work.
Supervise direct reporting staff, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
