Job summary

Fortrex seeks an Assistant Site Manager for our Sanitation operations in Minnesota. You will support the Site Manager in daily supervision of the sanitation crew and operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

You will coordinate with the plant and corporate teams to manage logs, payroll, supplies, and timesheets. The role requires 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience, fluency in Spanish and English, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations while wearing PPE.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in daily supervision of the sanitation crew and operations.
• Report accidents, downtime, and plant issues to the Site Manager.
• Coordinate with Corporate on logs, payroll, orders, and timesheets.
• Conduct weekly internal safety audits for staff and equipment.
• Set and track goals for safe, clean, and timely sanitation tasks.
• Manage direct reporting staff including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies across departments.
• Assist in training programs including safety training and ERP implementation.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed and respond to deficiencies.
• Attend sanitation meetings with customers and provide status on responsibilities.
