Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to supervise daily sanitation crew operations and ensure top cleanliness and safety standards at the site. You will report to the Site Manager and work on-site in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will drive safety, coordinate with HR and payroll, and act as a liaison with customers while participating in audits and training programs to uphold Fortrex’s commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations while wearing PPE.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager in daily supervision of sanitation crew and operations.
• Communicate with Site Manager daily to report accidents, downtime, damage, and plant issues.
• Complete weekly internal safety audits on staff and equipment.
• Set, monitor, and track goals for sanitation crew for safe, clean, on-time work.
• Coordinate with HR, payroll, and Tech Services on government agency matters as needed.
• Attend sanitation meetings with customers and act as liaison with customers.
