Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in New Jersey is seeking a Sanitation Team Member responsible for ensuring cleanliness and meeting sanitation standards. The role includes inspecting equipment, following safety regulations, and maintaining cleanliness in the production area. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the USA, and willing to undergo drug testing. This is a full-time entry-level position that offers a supportive team environment and various company benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect products and equipment for conformity to sanitation laws and standards.
• Follow all safety and confined space regulations.
• Check all chemical and sanitizing stations.
• Set up cheese vats and lines for washing.
• Hand wash cheese equipment.
• Spray machines and tanks to remove dirt.
• Scrub machines, containers, and floors.
• Connect hoses to pump cleaning solution.
• Scrub interior of pipes and valves.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and Tropical Cheese plant standards.
• Follow all safety and confined space regulations.
• Checks all chemical, foot sanitizers, hand wash stations, CIP1, CIP2 and foaming units.
• Set up cheese vats, de‑whey belt and lines to be washed.
• Hand wash cheese presses, cheese table and cheese cutters.
• Sprays machines, tanks, foaming units, and conveyors with water to loosen and remove dirt or other foreign matter.
• Scrubs machines, tanks, tables, pans, bowls, compartments, and conveyors. Rinses articles with water, and dries them with compressed air. Scrubs floors and walls.
• Connects hoses and lines to pump and starts pump to circulate cleaning and sterilizing solution through hoses and lines.
• Scrubs interior of disconnected pipes, valves, and spigots, and gauges, and meters.
