Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level sanitation team member to clean and sanitize cheese packaging and processing areas in a production environment. You will follow FDA and SQF guidelines, wear PPE, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the shift.
The role involves routine sanitation tasks, documentation, and cooperation with the sanitation crew to maintain quality and compliance in a fast-paced food distribution setting.
Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers - providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. Completes operational and pre-operational cleaning, and sanitization of the cheese packaging and processing machines and work areas according to Federal Department of Agriculture (FDA) regulations and ensures quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. This job is responsible for maintaining the premises of the cheese processing room and storage facilities in a clean and orderly condition in compliance with the Sanitation standard operating procedures and the Master Sanitation Schedule. This member of the team is also responsible for performing their tasks in a manner to support the SQF programs and understand how they affect the overall program. This role will function as a team member within the overall sanitation crew and organization.
