Job summary

Westaff is seeking a Sanitation Operator for our cheese production facility in Vermont. You will clean, sanitize, and inspect equipment and production areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

The role supports daily production schedules and requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The position offers 4 Days On / 4 Days Off (Rotating) with a 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM schedule and a Temp-to-Hire arrangement.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Comfortable with physically demanding work, including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning tasks
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disassemble, inspect, and sanitize production equipment
• Operate hoses, foaming systems, and automated cleaning equipment
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures
• Use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Complete sanitation tasks efficiently to support production schedules
• Verify equipment cleanliness and readiness before startup
• Accurately complete sanitation logs and related documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet sanitation goals
